Cabins & Cottages

Cabins & Cottages in Freeport, FL
Our cottages and cabins sit right on the property at Black Creek Lodge, each with their own kitchen setup, a sofa sleeper, and enough room to kick back and relax after a day on the water. Our cottages have a queen in the master and a small kitchen with a full-size fridge and stove. Our cabins add a second queen up in the loft, making them a great pick if you need a little extra sleeping space.
Both our cabins and cottages drop you right into the heart of the park. Walk down to the fishing dock and wet a line on Black Creek before breakfast. Pull your boat out of the covered slip and be on the Choctawhatchee River in minutes. Grab ice and firewood from the camp store and have a fire going before the sun goes down. Having your own kitchen means whatever you pull out of the water that morning can be on the stove by evening, which is a pretty satisfying way to spend a day in Freeport.
Speaking of the water, Black Creek connects to the Choctawhatchee River, which opens into the bay, and from there it’s about a 45-minute boat ride out to the Gulf of Mexico. Bream, catfish, and bass in the creek, redfish and speckled trout as you push toward the bay, and open Gulf fishing once you clear the Destin pass. Four distinct bodies of water, all accessible from one boat ramp on the property.
When you’re ready to get out and explore, there are plenty of options nearby. Drive 13 miles south and you’re on the quieter sugar sand beaches of Grayton Beach and Blue Mountain Beach. Head 45 minutes west and you’re in Destin. Take the scenic route down 30-A and spend a morning in Rosemary Beach or Seaside.
